Superhuman has used OpenAI’s API to build a suite of email products aimed at reducing the time users spend on their inboxes.
It includes features such as:
- Write with AI, which turns a written prompt into a full email
- Rewrite in Your Voice, which rephrases an email in the user’s personal writing voice and tone
- Write with Your Voice, which turns a dictated statement into a full email, allowing users to compose emails with just a few lines of speech
- Auto Summarize, which always shows an up-to-date one-line summary for each email and thread in users’ inboxes
- Instant Reply, which lets users respond to email in one click by choosing from contextual reply options
The products have helped customers process their inboxes twice as fast as before, while also doubling the speed at which they can write emails.
There AI strategy has three phases.
- Generative AI in product services
- AI Automation of workflows
- AI Agents to fully replace parts of workflow
A mixture of models are used. Cheaper, faster models for quick responses. Slower models with superb reasoning ability for hardest use cases.
